SPECIAL NOTICE: UPDATED JULY 2022
On December 2, 2019, the Harris County Housing and Community Development Office of Transit Services, in partnership with Harris County Precincts 1, 2, 3, and Houston METRO, began providing fixed route bus transit services in East Harris County. The service provides buses in the Channelview, Cloverleaf, and Sheldon (West) areas of East Harris County. In addition, a shuttle bus has been added to connect the existing Harris County Transit fixed route services in the Baytown area. The hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and Saturday 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Transfers to the Houston METRO fixed route service can be made at the Mesa Transit Center located at Tidwell and Mesa, or on Woodforest Boulevard at Uvalde Road.
On July 6, 2021, the Harris County Housing and Community Development Office of Transit Services began an On Demand transit service called Harris County Transit Plus in the Generation Park area of Northeast Harris County. This On Demand service operates along the North Belt (Beltway 8) from Generation Park near West Lake Houston Parkway west to the Houston METRO Eastex Park & Ride (HC10 North), and along the East Belt (Beltway 8) from Generation Park near West Lake Houston Parkway south to the Jim Fonteno Courthouse and Walmart, both located along Wallisville Road. The hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and Saturday 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Transfers to the Houston METRO fixed route service and Park & Ride service can be made at the Eastex Park & Ride.
